Curtis Anderson was
born in Saskatoon, but was raised in Dalmeny
SK. On August 14th, 2004 Curtis
married his lovely wife Tara, who is currently
a student at the University of Saskatchewan.
Curtis started working with Youth For
Christ® in September of 2005, focusing on
Gym Blasts and various other student ministry
programs and events. In between his time with
his wife and his time with students, Curtis is
working towards finishing his Bachelor of
Christian Ministry and his Bachelor of Arts in
Sports Ministry from Briercrest College.
All of his life, Curtis has been consumed
with sports. It doesn't really matter what
sport is being played: soccer, volleyball,
hockey, basketball, snowboarding, wakeboarding,
skateboarding, longboarding, horseshoes…Curtis
is into them all. Camp ministry has also been a
huge part of Curtis' life. In the past he has
served as a senior counselor at Camp Kadesh,
where he currently serves as the program
director in the summer months. Curtis is very
passionate about exposing youth to the
revolutionary love of Christ.
Although
Curtis doesn't often get a chance to travel, he
does enjoy seeing the world when given the
chance. One of Curtis' favorite trips was the
one he and Tara took to Ontario for their
honeymoon. Unfortunately their plans of
visiting Niagra Falls and indulging in the
unique cultures of Toronto, Ottawa, and
Montreal were cut short when their car broke
down in Rugby North Dakota. Three nights in
Rugby, and $1000 US for repairs later Curtis
and Tara made their way to Winkler to see some
friends and hit up the hot spots of lower
Manitoba. Ahhh the memories.
Some of
Curtis' hobbies include playing cards, playing
sports, video gaming, watching sports, hanging
out with friends, talking about sports, foot
bagging, teaching his wife Tara about sports,
watching movies, and reading about sports on
the internet. When it comes to pet peeves,
nothing gets under Curtis' skin more than when
kids at camp think that he is younger than his
brother Casey, who happens to be FIVE YEARS
younger than Curt.
